Curved Shower Bar?

Discussion about
I'm in the middle of a bathroom renovation and realized I hadn't yet purchased a curtain rod. I have a very small bathroom with only 5 square feet of floor space excluding the tub. I am debating getting a standard straight curtain rod or one of those curved ones. My hesitation with the curved one is that it may make the already small bathroom seem smaller since it would bow out into the rest of the room. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated to hear about.

Well that's the point of it, it creates more room in the shower and thus less out. What matters more to you: aesthetics or space in the shower? I would get straight.

It doesn't bow out beyond the outer tub edge on a typical installation.

I put in a sliding glass door. looks awesome but also had to regrout the tiles because you can see evrything clearly. definitely makes the room feel much more open.
