Discussion about
I thought Streeteasy updated every morning, but in the last few days I've noticed several new listings that have been on broker websites and NYTimes for several days that still aren't on Streeteasy. Also a price change that happened over the weekend that isn't reflected on Streeteasy yet. Anyone know what the deal is? Does it update less frequently than once/day? The listings are with Elliman, Corcoran, and Century21. Thanks.
I also noticed that. would be interested in knowing the reason
I have a noticed a different issue: I found at least one instance where an apt that a broker listed on their website (it was even one of their "featured propoerties" on their home page) was not listed in StreetEasy, even though the broker had other listings from posted on Streeteasy. Why wouldn't all the brokers listings be listed here?
I assume a big shop like Corcoran is on an automatic feed for Streeteasy, but I work for a smaller broker (DG Neary) and I have to enter and update my listings by hand, they aren't automatically swept in.
The NYTimes, by contrast, is a feed that's automatically updated pretty often -- my guess is daily. I know that when I change the property characteristics on my website, they update to the Times without me having to do anything.

ali,
If you are responding to my post, the broker I was referring is certainly one of the big shops, so I did a test search on nytimes.com, and it came up.
So, that's even more perplexing as to why all their listings aren't shown on streeteasy, but do show up on their own site and on nytimes.com.
Well, the listings I saw elsewhere finally showed up on Streeteasy today. However, the price change, which is now 4-5 days old, is still not on! That's with Corcoran, so I'm really surprised there's no automatic feed, as Ali describes. Streeteasy is such a great resource, it would be great to see this "lagging" flaw addressed.
What the hell is going on?
The preponderance of new listings in the last 2 days have been from secondary
and tertiary brokers (some I've never seen here before)
And although Corcoran and Elliman alone have a combined list of over 1500 open houses in the next
7 days, Streeteasy has only 239 in Manhattan, 3 in Queens, 60 in Brooklyn. Usually by Wed afternoon
Streeteasy has at least a couple of thousands O.H.'s
Well, I just changed the status of a listing by hand, and it showed up immediately.

I've noticed the same thing (delay in listing, status, etc) for big brokers like corcoran, halstead etc. Never cared enough to complain but the people running this site should check it out...
