Discussion about
My AC unit just stopped working. It was an original from the early 80s, so a new one is absolutely needed. Anyone have any suggestions? My bldg recommends a company that will sell me a Simon Aire SSNS model. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!
I suggest you go with the company your building recommends. They probably have experience in your building and wouldn't want to lose the recommendations.
I just had my Simon Aire SSNS model replaced recently. I went with a different vendor this time even though my building recommended Simon Aire. The Simonaire guys have gotten too big and have really started to fall behind on customer service and responsiveness. They came into my apartment 3 times this year and couldn't fix the persistent problem that's on warranty. I ended up going to another brand that is much more responsive and was able to get the unit installed same day I called.
Ditch Simon Aire - those jokers need to learn a lesson.
It's your money, buy the air conditioner you like and want. Summer is almost over.
I heartily recommend Frigidaire. We purchased the 15K btu unit this summer and it is better than any other unit we've ever used/purchased in the past. Better than our clunky 3-yr-old Freidrich, better than our old Panasonics. It just works. And it's nice and quiet too. Love it.
Frigidaire is amazing!
They're discussing PTACs.

PTACs - Please Take Africans in Cargo Ships
I've reported abuse for your outrageously offensive racist remark.
You said it in the form of an acronym.
I'm merely beaconing your ill-views of africans.
