Unfortunately this is one side effect of the financial strain in California.
The crazies and those nearing their end of life no longer see California and San Francisco in particular as such a carefree easy money pot of sunshine to take care of them and the medical and social problems brought on by their own irresponsibility. So some decide to venture to NYC and take on our tax base.
