Discussion about
In this listing: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/741210-condo-1965-broadway-lincoln-square-new-york it says: "This is one of very few condo buildings in New York where short term guests are allowed." Now I assume that the "short-term guest" the listing refers to does not mean your brother who's visiting NYC for a week & crashing on your couch. I would think even the strictest, snootiest co-ops would allow that. Or don't they? So what exactly does "short-term guest" mean? Short-term sublet?

I think this is a typo or misleading advertising as this usually isn't a problem at all in condos.

I think short-term guest is "code" for hoteling.

Jim123, thanks. Wow, I'm surprised any condo in the city would allow hoteling. Then again, if you can afford a $1.65m condo, I'm surprised you would open up your home to any random hotel "guest." You can do a background check on a short-term sublet, but not on the guy who's renting your place for the weekend.

HI; Short term guest would mean that random 'guest' who would like to rent just for a short while.
