I recently worked with a pair of real estate agents who initially seemed great but turned out to be aggressive (and even threatening) people. I was interested in a fixer upper near Union Square in Manhattan and attended viewings of the unit a few times with them. During and after the viewings, I had a strong hunch that either 1) they didn't know the amount of money/time/effort that goes into a fixer upper (and lack the general real estate experience I'm looking for in an agent) OR 2) their only agenda is to sell sell sell and make the fixer upper look like a small, cosmetic project.
Anyway, I decided to end my relationship with them and told them that I would be viewing another (Brooklyn) property on my own--this was a property that I'd originally ask them to set up an appointment for.
Now they've emailed me back with a veil of threat saying that after all the advice and tips they've given me (which I didn't find helpful) and after all the references for attorneys and contractors they've given me, that I should continue working with them and view the Brooklyn property with them since I'd originally asked them to set up the appointment. (Btw, I was able to set up the appointment by myself several days before they did. I'd told them I'd prefer to work alone, and you can see why.)
My concern is that they have all my personal information -- completely filled out REBNY form and my full name, home address, etc. They don't have my SSN. I'm pretty sure I'm not legally required to work with them even if I decide to buy the Brooklyn property, but can they do anything to jeopardize my privacy or cause me any other legal harm?

cue the brokers coming on to say there are a few bad apples in our business, not representative, yada, yada.
the mob hasn't gotten to REBNY members yet, as far as I know.
just make clear when you view the Brooklyn unit that you are unrepresented and will dispute any claim otherwise.
ignore the brokers. they will go away.

dont ever use referrals from RE brokers for contractors and, especially, lawyers.
RE brokers must sell sell sell in order to get paid. Lawyers are supposed to have pure fiduciary to you, and be prepared to advise against any deal they feel not appropriate for you. Brokers dont recommend lawyers who scuttle their deals. Brokers dont refer contractors who look over jobs and say "you're kidding, right? whoever told you you could do this job for X is either smoking crack, or lying; try 3X for a lesser quality approach".
ignore the idiot brokers threats--clearly they are clueless.

Can you clarify the "veil of threat?"
Maybe they are, maybe not, hard to tell, but they could also just simply be upset and aggressive. Whether or not they are competent and provided you with value doesn't impact their interest in maintaining a relationship based on the time invested on their side. More detail from you would help clarify.
