I sent in the Star program application after the purchasing the co-op back in June and just rec'd a letter from NYC asking for the full 1040 and copy of driver's license. Is this normal? I recall doing this years ago for my house and it was a piece of cake. Thanks

They're asking for more verification info now. Perhaps too many people who didn't actually meet the requirements were applying.

Did you speak with your building's management company?

In our (coop) building, they handle this process, and include information in the maintenance bill. Coop process may differ a bit from the single family home process.

Just confirmed with mgmt co, we do our own filing. What a pain to send over dozens of pages of my return.
