Kitchen Cabinets / Radiator Covers

I am about to gut renovate my small NYC kitchen. I am looking for kitchen cabinets and radiator enclosures, but need to source them as inexpensively as possible. For the cabinets I have looked at Hanssem but am not totally sold on them yet. I read that you can often install custom cabinets for around the same price as manufactured. This appeals to me as I'd much prefer to deal with someone locally and keep the business here. Does anyone have recommendations for a good cabinet maker / millworker in the NY area who would reasonably priced and does good work? Alternatively, I'd also appreciate reasonably priced cabinet manufacturers as well. Thanks in advance.
