Board think unit is priced too low

Having already spent money on lawyer and many other fees, I think I may lose a few thousand dollars, as the board now thinks the unit is priced too low, and I feel a rejection coming before I even have the interview. Isn't it illegal to inflate and fix prices? I have a signed contract with the seller, so what legal means do they have in saying what price is the right price if they are not the shareholder?
