Discussion about
Does $8,000 sound reasonable for sheetrock/painting and floor molding for 625 sq ft...only 4 ft height of sheetrocking being replaced.

What kind of finish are you looking for? How many linear feet of molding?

sounds like a typical manhattan price for something that would not even come close to that elsewhere,

I like your strategy though. I am sure Primer will come up with something for 1000 less than whatever number you mention.

jackson hole,

I am a licensed contractor and am charging 9 per sq ft for the sheet rock and painting (625 x 9 = 5,625). and depending on the size of the molding approx 1k.

A total of about 6,650. I am actually in Brooklyn already so its possible I can bring down the price a little.

Gcondo,

Why would I be $1,000 less then the amount they said? I thought you always said I was expensive?
