Reno: Converting stucco to standard flat walls

it depends on what approach you want to take.

1 - remove all to brick and then put in studs, sheet rock
2 - put studs, sheet rock on top of existing

You should just have someone put up Chicago bar and sheetrock, isnt way. I would have some contractors come look at it and give you a price

ab- Of those two choices, it sounds like #1 is preferable, so then I don't lose sq footage on the room. But I assume this is more pricey? (bigger job?)
Hey Primer, I assume you met "easiest way" (not "isn't way")?? Is Chicago bar just for the ceiling, or all around? And would this method include getting rid of what's there (to the brick)? Or just covering up and, again, losing a little room space? If it's just a cover job, any ballpark estimate?

Any other insights? Seems like a pretty straight-forward project.

Does roughly $2000 seem likely? That's what I'm hearing from around the block...
