Discussion about
I'm a reporter with the NY Observer, writing about the tightness of the lower-end market rate rental inventory (approximately under $2,500 for Manhattan for a studio or one-bedroom). Has anyone out there had difficulty finding an apartment in this bracket? Please let me know--I'm at kvelsey AT observer.com. Thanks!

so...you're not interested in hearing from people who found an apartment like this?

Yes, I'm interested in hearing from people who have had an epic hunt for a decent market rate apartment.

I'm that person! I've been searching for about a month and can't find anything really suitable. Any prospects move so quickly off the market too.
