Discussion about
Considering the size and condition of the lobby, number of elevators and other amenities, do you think that the maintenance fees in these buildings are average for what you get, or a bit high?

Can't speak to that, but if you are planning a renovation in those towers,be prepared for a huge hassle;extremely difficult to do work in compared to other N.Y. City high-end bldgs.

That can be good, as it conduces to preservation rather than tearing stuff out just to tart things up to the style of the moment. E.g. these two almost-original 1960s kitchens: http://img.streeteasy.com/nyc/image/22/42833622.jpg and http://img.streeteasy.com/nyc/image/32/35584232.jpg

Thanks. The overall look of the building is one of the reasons I am attracted to it.
