Discussion about
Hi all - Any suggestions for ultra-luxury rentals in the Lincoln Center (UWS) area or even further south near the A-train? I am looking for new construction all-rental buildings that offer 24-hour doorman, granite, stainless steel appliances, non-Parquet hardwood floors. A few that I've found are: The Corner (200 W 72nd) Ashley Aire Any ideas? Thanks! Nirlep

nirlep,

Are doorman, granite, stainless steel appliances and real hardwood floors the only requirement for you to consider the building ultra-luxury? That sounds like basic luxury. I would think that ultra-luxury means double sink marble bath, central ac, viking, subzero, high end dishwasher, good kitchen cabinets etc. Perhaps that only applies to buying.

There are some rentals on Central park south of the type you mention buy may not be all rental.

Too bad you have to have new construction. Otherwise the Langham would be good: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/building/135-central-park-west-new_york

The Grand Tier on Broadway, across from Lincoln Center, is pretty nice.

I echo 300_mercer, your description (aside from the parquet floors, which I wholly agree with) sounds like standard Rockrose/Related rentals, with maybe some Glenwood buildings falling up the ladder. Do you truly mean double sink, washer/dryer, viking appliances...etc.?

Ultra luxury would be gaggenau and scavolini and not viking. my two cents

Guywithcat, he's asking about all-rentals, gaggenau...etc. would never end up in a rental unless it was the perfect storm of a busted high-end boutique condo that turned rental as the only short-term play. Ultra Luxury all-rental is very different from ultra-luxury ownership.
