Discussion about
Holy Christ! I wondered if this place was every going to show up again. Apparently, the owner Martin Zweig died of liver cancer in February. New record asking price it seems!

"...then, as now, the Pierre, the 1930 Schultze & Weaver-designed hotel at Fifth Avenue and 61st Street, prohibits financing..."

So the ask of $125,000,000.00 must be an all cash offer.

"...The monthly maintenance of $47,000 covers electricity and a two-person housekeeping staff..."

Such a deal!

Plenty of Russian oligarchs waiting in the wings ready to scoop up the place for their spoilt little daughters...

Ha! Seriously, who'd want it? Great view, but not for $125 million.

I haven't made an appointment yet, but since I've been assured prime Manhattan real estate will go for $500/sq ft, I'm assuming this is approximately 250,000 square feet?

Lowery - it's true. Hold out for $500 square foot. I've been assured Manhattan real estate is heading there, and but quick.
