Cost of adding a bedroom to condo

I am looking to purchase a large 1Br Condo and was wondering about the cost of adding a 2nd bedroom. It would be on the small size, ie for a child. Let's assume I have the right location in the apartment. Having electrical wiring for an outlet would be ideal but it might be easier to try to position it to use an existing wall outlet, if adding electrical significantly changed the project. Of course I would be planning to use a contractor. Any advice would be appreciated.
