Discussion about
Hard to maintain? I always liked the look of a white floor. I have now the opportunity to have it all over a Manhattan apartment, but i'm just scared that it may look "dingy " and dirty in no time. I may opt for a grey stain, but i'm not excited about it as much as the white. Please Help!

So, the meeting with your new neighbors went well?

I had white pickled floors in one room of my beach house. They won't stay pristine but will scuff, so over time little bits of wood will show through the white. I think that effect was perfectly lovely... but it's sort of a "shabby chic" vibe. If that's what you're trying for, go for it.

Definitely "shabby-chic"/"rustic-mod." It does wear and tear easily, but that, I think, is the whole point of this look. Unfinished, but still clean. Think Tribecca/Soho loft circa late 90s/early 2000s.
