Plumbers don't do it. Gas people who don't want want to lose their license won't do it either.

The grill you're going to put on a 250 sqft terrace doesn't justify a gas line. We go through about 2 LP tanks/year and we grill about once/week. There are several services who'll deliver the tanks to you in Manhattan for about $40/tank, or you can go to brooklyn and get them for less.

First talk to the Fire Department about requirements. Someone I know was able to put a legal grill on a Manhattan roof garden, but only with a natural gas line, and only with certain clearances from combustible materials.

Also, of course, your condo's bylaws/house rules might prohibit grilling on your terrace, because of the annoyance of smoke entering other apartments and/or fire hazard.
