There are 3 supermarkets within 3 blocks, a juice bar, a few restaurants. One a nice little French place 'Mountain Bird' that also serves brunch and coffee on 145th/and a decent African place on Frederick Douglas @149th next to some buffet, Chinese and chicken places.
Going west a few blocks there is is Harlem Public, coffee shops, and a variety of small restaurants.
The neighborhood is very friendly. It is clean, safe and has a lot of restored landmarked buildings.
Close to Jackie Robinson Park and the pool.
PS90 is mostly owner occupied.
Personally I've never really liked that part of Harlem- but I think much of the issue I have with it has been the morass that is Dunbar Manor. But it's finally been sold and the new owners most certainly have plans to make it better. Should they be able to turn that place around it would yield big benefits for the entire neighborhood (and obviously the current and new tenants of Dunbar). Get the 100 worst dirtbags out of that place and replace them with responsible people and we all would benefit.
