Discussion about
Has anybody done that? UES penthouse co-op, 11 floors. The building allows threough-the-wall aircondiitoner. Will it likely allow a small fireplace?
You joking? Ask the board at your interview. While you're at it, ask about the building's drug policy.
I think westelle just might be pulling our legs.
There was an extensive thread recently about this very topic. It could be a tough sell.
I bought a really cute fake fireplace. Most people who come over think it's real. You don't even need gel fuel. You just plug it in. It's really gorgeous at night. If you crave the look of a fireplace, check it out: http://www.electricfireplacesdirect.com/
I would just go ahead and do the work at night time. It's unlikely anyone would ever notice you put in the fireplace. Maybe you can design the back to look like an air conditioner sleeve from the outside and just build the chimney out of brick that matches the building. Use low-odor wood so no one smells the fires and the board and neighbors will never know. Gracious Home sells bundles of the stuff for exactly these kinds of situation and it's pretty reasonably priced.
Seems like an uncharacteristic suggestion from Kyle.
It seems KW is having us on because surely no one would notice. wink wink
I think hes being sarcastic
Do you people have Asberger's syndrome? Of course it is sarcastic.
