con edison gas shutdown

Discussion about
a friend's building has been without gas for 2 weeks. is there anything they can do about it? apparently one of the apartments was having problems with their gas and con ed shut down the entire building...and everyone is without gas. anyone ever have this problem?

My first step would be to call 311. They can inform your friend of his/her rights and options.
