Discussion about 301 West 110th Street at 301 West 110th Street in South Harlem
Building built in the late 80s, need we say more?
The building although is a condo, restricts owners from renting out their units. The lobby looks like a hostpital reception.
Units are permitted to be rented out. This was changed last year.
The apartments are a bit small, but many have great views of Central Park. I was going to buy an apartment there 10 years ago. The only reason I didn't was there were certain restrictions that I understand no longer exist, such as renting.
The location is great, especially for public transportation. Central Park and the area to the north of the building is much nicer now than 10 years ago. The lobby may not be elegant, but this place was not built as luxury housing.
I checked this building again this past year when I decided to downsize. Unfortunately, the lines that I was interested in were not available.
A friend bought here a few years ago and she has been happy. Great location and a good sense of community. Location is prime south harlem, while close to everything else. Renting restriction is no longer in place. Building's main entrance is diagonal to central park and it offers an amazing view.
