Streeteasy Admins- approve new posters

Since the policy was implemented to screen new posters on the discussion board a few years back, I noticed the new posts would show up in my RSS reader but not be available to read until the new poster was approved. I was under the impression that it was supposed to take a couple of days to approve the new poster. In reality a week or two (or longer) can pass before you approve the new ID's. Why does it take so long? For interesting questions, I keep going back to see if you have approved...only to be discouraged more often than not.

Never knew about that policy - I thought it was an "honor system" - that is, until "One's postings strayed - & then they got grayed!"
