I think that Gov. Chris handled the problem very well this morning, by standing for over two hours in front of the press, public t.v. viewers and the USA. He could have closed his press conference down after his apology and some question-and-answer time.

If you are informed, you know that much worse has been done by public officials without them being brought to trial and sentenced to prison time.

This wouldn't be an issue if we were talking about the Rip Van Winkle Bridge in C0lumbia C0unty.

CC kept emphasizing that he had lost sleep and was soul searching for why his aides would lie to him. Shouldn't the soul searching be more related to why his aide chose to do such stupid things? or more about "have I established a working culture or environment for my inner circle people that encouraged them to do such things?"

People want a winner. This might not blow over in the liberal crybaby media, but in the voting booth, people are thinking, I want that big guy who doesn't take crap and squashes his enemies so we can finally get something done - if we had this guy we wouldn't have that Obamacare mess and the terrorists wouldn't mess with us.
So he'll be fine.
Watch him in person - people like him, he empathizes with them, and they empathize with him.

Chris Christie is no Tricky Dick Nixon. He's not even Clintonian. As if those Clintons have such a pristine

She wasn't well-rested and so took an additional trip to Maui to hang out with Oprah.
The resulting "traffic snarl" caused businesses on the Road to Oprah's to lose customers, as more than
enough closures were ordered by the FBI.

Did the FBI ask the President if it would be alright with him to close down all of those roads?
It wasn't done as a political hush-job but Obama knew that the traffic in Maui would be a mess and people would be late for work, kids late for school and businesses would be sealed-off from their customers.

If Christie knew and/or ordered his staff to get revenge on the Mayor of Fort Lee New Jersey for not supporting him, it seems as if that was a very unsophisticated way to go about it:
Chris Christie: "Shut down a couple of lanes on the GWB and cause traffic snarls for a few days.
