Discussion about
I sent a message to a real estate broker asking to see a particular apartment via the website of that broker. The first and only call i get so far is from a mortgage broker who's been given the number I sent in that email. I know I should have called the RE broker direct but it was late so i sent the email. I made no mention of mortgages at all. Thoughts? Good or bad business practice on the part of the RE Broker?

I've contacted various brokers via email and NEVER had anyone pass on my information to a mortgage broker. BAD BUSINESS. When I've purchased apartments, my agents (buyer's agents) asked me if I needed assistance with finding a mortgage or lawyer. Even then, that was only AFTER I indicated interest in putting in offers.

You really should have a mortgage application started before you make an offer. You'll then have an idea of the size of the mortgage you can get based upon your income.
