I've lived in the building as a subletter for 3 years and it's a wonderful building. The doormen are incredibly helpful; the super is responsive; the board is reasonable. I don't know about their financials but for location (super quiet) and staff, it's one of the best buildings I've seen to be living in. The building's a combo of elderly and younger people in their 30s - great neighbors.

Hi cc3duke99, mars.

I'm actually looking to buy an apartment in this building on E15th and would love to hear your thoughts about the location and the building.

Could you drop me a line at vqg_admin[at]gmail.com?

Would greatly appreciate it!

the coop president in 230 is a terrible terrible woman. she is a lonely and spiteful person with nothing better to do than tinker with other peoples lives. she was voted out of office ~20 years ago for basically being corrupt and somehow bided her time and re-ran for office when other people left the building. potential buyers, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. current tenants, do yourselves a favor and vote her out. AGAIN.

Can someone please comment on how much the maintenance cost increase each year. In 2009 it looks like maintenance for apt 1MN was 1500 , In 2010 apt 5MN was $2000 , now apt 7DE is listed with a maintenance of $2400. So it looks like there was a big jump between 2009 and 2010 and then it leveled out at around 6%. Any insight into the maintenance fees would be helpful. Thanks
