Construction activity is supposed to end at 6 p.m. unless the NYC DoB has granted a variance. You can appeal to DoB, to tenant advocates, and/or to your local elected representatives' offices.

5 months after my original post, construction is still ongoing for the units around mine. That's 10 months of consecutive construction within range of a single unit.

Our rent was increased 7% from last year. It's not as severe as another poster's increase, but it's still several hundred dollars extra per month for the privilege of experiencing a construction project that has shown little signs of nearing completion.

Constant construction. Elevators are often tied up with workmen or broken. There have been 3 leaks in one year, in apartments above mine, which have caused flooding. Cracks in walls due to shifting in building. Management unresponsive.
