Homeownership is how immigrants, Black, Brown, and working-class New Yorkers built stability and generational wealth despite every obstacle.

You have to be completely out of your f****ing mind to call that “white supremacy.”

That level of thinking only comes from extreme privilege and total detachment from reality.

Interesting that none of the major news networks have reported on this other than NY Post and WSJ. I guess this is not newsworthy…

Turbo,

Crying is just entertainment related news. So NYPOST worthy. I did find the article very entertaining.

Now, do you really expect Mamdani to pick bastions of capitalism? He ran on socialism. People are getting surprised by his picks.

At least he is keeping Jessica Tisch - for now at least. Hopefully, he will let her do her job.

I am absolutely not surprised by his pics….New Yorkers are going to get exactly what they voted for. I agree that Tisch is great and I really hope she stays. We will see…

Somebody that breaks down crying like that over questioning is not a good choice for political office, regardless of their leanings. Plus her Mom's house looks pretty modest. I'm assuming it's in an expensive area. Nashville prices have shot up.

Isn't that kind of public angst just a form of virtue signaling in the social status games? I wish the Mamdani administration the best of luck and hope, moving forward, they can leave that kind of drama at the doorstep.

There is going to be more shouting on both sides. Adams had a chance to clean up and be a centrist but he blew up with corruption charges all way down the ranks. Only real clean up recently has been US Attorney driven in Washington Square Park but not sure how long it can last without Mamdani and Alvin Bragg.

Tisch is waiting for the right time to resign, it will be based on something that she can say is outrageous and distinguishes her from Mamdani. She will then use it as the main launch issue for her campaign for Mayor against Mamdani.

@Rinette. Too early to tell how Mamdani will work out, and absent any great setbacks or leaps forward, a Mandami / Tisch race would be an interesting one. Unclear to me whether there are enough New Yorkers that would really support a female mayor. She would certainly have significant financial backing from family.
