Discussion about
Assuming Obama is getting in, whats the earliest he could implement tax increases for 250k+. Does it it make sense to start tax planning (capturing CAP gains etc) THIS year to avoid the huge increase possibly next year?
You mean you are wondering about a tax increase that may or may not be happening but you have nothing to say about the disaaster wraught on every aspect of our economy and people by this disaster of a President and his party?
You are a partisan moron.
what do you mean 'may or may not be happening'? its the guy's platform. and assuming dnc retains control over congress it could take effect in tax year 2009.
oh by "its the guys platform" you mean like Bush's election platforms that never happened:
"I will restore honor and integrity to the White House"
"No decision on Yucca Mountain until research results are available
Free trade"
"I'm a compassionate conservative"
"Leave no child behind"
"I'm a uniter, not a divider"
"President of all the people, not just those who voted for me"
"A reformer with results"
"It's the people's money, not the government's"
Election reform
Reforming the military
Reversing Course
"our military shoud not be nation builders"
"Gay marriage ban"
"abortion laws changed"
this was not meant to be a political discussion. In my opinion BOTH parties are useless in their own ways, bloody selfish!
How soon could the tax increases be implemented realistically?
bugelrex - you obviously posed a very partisan question. Why didnt you pose a question that says - when can mccain pass more republican policies that led us into the disaster we are in now?
1/1/10 would be the outside date. If Obama wins, it will probably be good for tourism in Manhattan, as people from around the world are lured and seduced by "Change"...whatever that means.
I personally like Ron Paul, he actually has some core values and an understanding of the economy.
