My client has contracted to purchase an apartment at 75 Kenmare. We are concerned about the status of the building and the recent reduction in prices. Please call me at 212 688 1000 ext 206 to share information. Thank you.

Price chops are happening in all the uber luxury developments because of the oversupply and the market has passed its peak. How is this any different? That's the risk of going into contract in an overheated market.

I personally like this area which is at the crossroads of many interesting places to walk around, drink and dine. But at $3,000 psf, it seems like an over improvement to pretty much everything else around. I think you have to decide if you are a long-term owner or not and if not, is this a project that will fair better than most in a downturn. I think not.
