not for nothing but i just had the best salad nicoise at a local restaurant on Monroe, a block away from the site. Restaurants in the neighborhood are really stepping it up
I love it.
This neighborhood has been the best kept secret for years. We're happy to see that they built a luxury high-rise of these dimensions. All those families coming in will help and support the local business owners.
Plus isn't there some retail coming in at the base of the building?
Anyone knows?
(We went to see the sales office this past weekend. Wow!)
also try Belly Bar.. awesome
fab334,
How many of the units have fully executed contracts? Where can we see what's available in the "Skyscape Collection"? A year ago we heard "Occupancy is about a year away at One Manhattan Square" - what is the current schedule?

Re retail:
The Retail Spaces
The wraparound retail at the corner of Cherry and Pike Streets is still earmarked for a pharmacy and “affordable” supermarket. We were told that talks are ongoing with a couple of potential suitors.
The other two stores are on Cherry Street and Pike Street.
As previously reported, Extell holds the long-term lease on half the Pathmark Pharmacy building (until 2049) where Lend Lease currently operates its field office. There is talk about bringing a pop-up shop of some sort to a portion of this space.

Still waiting to see plans for the moat to keep the serfs from storming the castle.
Be careful walking around Monroe/Cherry street and the surrounding area at night. Alfred E Smith housing is one of the more dangerous housing projects in the city. The area is fairly vacant at night.
wowowow @KNEWBIE
really? is that SOO dangerous? i hate to strongly disagree
@knewbie I don't understand your comment about Alfred E Smith housing--do you live there??? Because it sounds like you're just hating on affordable housing--which is all over Manhattan, Brooklyn and QUeens. I never feel unsafe walking through the grounds or on Monroe/Cherry Streets or the neighbohood for that matter so I don't understand your motivation behind this comment.
This thread has been started by and is supported with obvious shills. Clearly if this project was doing better they would not feel the need for this deception.
I wish I could find the post I made "How to shill properly" so I could repost in this thread.

Said no one ever... Definitely a shill. No one wants that eyesore in their view shed.

fab334, how's it going? is this near the building that might topple over?
300yearsinRio, your link doesn't work
It's very far from the Maiden Lane building. Do you live here?
what a mess

Rinutcase,
Yeah, 4 years later some websites don't exist. Nothing like bumping the most irrelevant thread on a huge project rather than picking the main thread on 1 Manhattan Square.
