85 Clay St -- terrible smell in common areas

Discussion about 85 Clay Street in Greenpoint
I am new to this building and cannot figure out why the common areas smell so bad, particularly in the early morning. The smell seems to build up overnight and then dissipate during the day as people enter and exit the building. If any longer-term residents know what is going on, please clue me in. Like clockwork, the stench wafts under the door into my apartment every day at around 7 am. It is a terrible way to wake up.
