I’ve sat back and watched the debacle of this building unfold over the past couple of years and now we’ve reached total, complete insanity! What was a crazy, but sort of understandable $4+ million sale a few years back is now back on the market after a failed attempt to turn this beautiful building into a methadone clinic!!! but for a million bucks more with zero improvements?!! Gimme a Goddamned break! The longer this thing holds onto its silly asking price, the more stail this listing will become.

That space in the basement is certainly not a legal 'bedroom'. Bones of the place look pretty good, with most of the original ornate woodwork, though I have no idea how the price compares to similar in the area.

If you are frustrated about this properties asking price, you should have an agent look into comps for you to figure out what this property is really worth. If you find out the property is overpriced which usually turns out to be the case, your agent can negotiate a realistic price you are willing to pay for.
