Suggestion Regarding Outdoor Space

Hi Streeteasy, suggestion for you: I think instead of "public or private outdoor space" you should have "shared outdoor space" (building) and "private outdoor space" (unit). I'm currently looking for an apartment with private outdoor space, and it's nice that some agents specify on the listing, but I'm had to contact a lot of agents to find out (and it's usually shared).

Totally agree. Streeteasy should also distinguish between terraces and balconies.

The data is user supplied- and thus garbage in, garbage out. While it would be nice if Streeteasy did have differentiation for the different types of outdoor space- it would be dirty data since so many agents don't understand there is a difference between a terrace and a balcony.

The public vs. private distinction was available several years ago, until around 2012 if I recall correctly.

flarf is correct, maybe 2013. Probably changed after zillow bought streeteasy.
It was a very useful tool when I was in the market for private outdoor space only listings.
