Discussion about
First time co-op buyer here. I would appreciate insight regarding insurance: How much coverage for the unit property would you recommend for a pre-war building? Can anyone recommend a specific insurance company or agent with which they have personal experience? Thank you!

Depends entirely on the cost to replace your interior finishes and equipment (kitchen & bath fixtures, etc.). If you've got fancy moldings, floors, appliances, etc., it's going to cost much more than if you've just got the basics.

Chubb or AIG. You can google to find a broker who specialize in either. Chubb is the most expensive but supposingly the best.
