I'd look on craigslist.org. I think you'll see some listings there that represent owners or buildings that have units for short term rental in the city.

You can find something expensive through a brand like Furnished Quarters.

It's almost impossible to find decently-priced short-term rentals, because they tend to be priced more like hotels than apartments.

You could try homeaway.com, which is an umbrella site that now owns vrbo.com; but if you're watching your pennies, I too would point you towards craigslist.
