Discussion about The Schwab House at 11 Riverside Drive in Upper West Side
we loved the building but they do not allow washers and dryers. the views in the west wing are amazing.
dean felman from halstead knows everything about the building.
take a look at this thread also:

i don't think this building is any great shakes. even having elevatormen didn't impress me. it's too big and you get lost in all the corridors.
and unfortunately you might have to deal with Robbie Gould, who, ultimately, was completely unprofessional in the way she dealt with us. we were looking at a few apartments back in mid-2003, one of which was at Schwab House. RG seemed nice at first, but her personality and the things she said got weirder and weirder, and finally she just stopped returning our calls of offers and interest in other units in the building. it's too bad the industry lets people like RG get away with crap like that, and i wouldn't wish her or Corcoran on my worst enemy.
we finally settled in a wonderfully intimate low key coop in Carnegie Hill, on 96th right off 5th, represented by a wonderful independent broker, Benjamin Barshay.
wow, talk about location insensitive.
Almost everyone who I have known who lived in Schwab House had "well above average" experience living there vs the "pool of Coops".
It's a very well-maintained building. I don't know the building's finances, but I haven't heard anything negative. T
i realize i may have sounded like i had judged Schwab House by how we had been treated by this broker who specializes there, but this is not the case.
we would likely have bought there if not for dealing with a nut, and may have had a wonderful experience living there, but we formed our opinion of the building solely on its own (de)merits...
