What Happens if AIG defaults

Discussion about
IE if you have insurance for your home and AIG defaults are you out of luck? Does the policy default? How much of it is FDIC insured? What happens to all the people in Texas? Any insight on the insurance industry would be great

AIG's insurance subsidiaries can't default. It is the other pieces outside of the regulated insurance entities inside AIG that could have problems.
