Discussion about
My Picks: Banks of note that may/will fail during the next 6 months. Washington Mutual Wachovia CitiGroup smaller NY based banks - Apple Bank, a few credit unions. at least 2 banks in the Midwest - National City? Key Bank? I don't know about the West Coast. Oh yeah - Morgan Stanley seems to have days to buy or be bought.

please explain why you believe Apple Bank will fail. Or are you just trying to keep up with the fear mongering?

small local bank that actively marketed mortgages and HELOC to its depositors. Also a NY based local bank has exposure to the wall street crisis but not the deep pockets to absorb the hit.

Why do you think that it would survive?

"fear mongering"

Do you really believe that discussing the state of the market & economy is "fear-mongering"?

Of course, I'm still "Ignoring comment by petrfitz," so I don't know what the original post is, except it's probably outrageous.

discussing it no, throwing out names of institutions that will fail when one has no idea, yes.

From what I can tell Apple has a very strong loan portfolio and its fundamentals are fine.

I can't believe how irresponsible a discussion like this is, with no foundation either.

Heaven help the person who does business with someone like this on the other side of the table.
