Bonuses Slashed Walking away from a deposit Recently bought apt., can't sell old apt Did anyone else notice an unusual number of price drops today? 50% increase in NYC Foreclosures YoY One B'lyn Bridge developer: "We were killed." Recently bought apartment & Lost my Job. Take My Park Avenue Apartments, Please! The Observer reports on a UBS exec who has two Park Avenue apartments listed, with both going through significant price cuts, and one actually listed below what he originally paid for. All these highlights (lowlights?) from the last 24 hours. And from todays news: AG Cuomo is asking for bonus data at the individual level back to 2006 and told the banks that no TARP money can be used for this year's bonus payments. My guess is that the I banks will look very closely at not paying any bonuses in cash at all this year. Mayor Bloomberg is looking to raise NYC income taxes by 7-15% and cutting services. S&P -2.4% Manhattan inventory printing at 8,819 today with 555 recorded sales in the last 30 days for an absorption rate of 16 months. It's all good. [less]
buy now or be priced out forever.
Still alive, healthy and employed. Life is good.
The 555 closings in October are for contracts signed awhile ago. Any guess as to how many units went to contract in October? My guess - not so much.
I bet you're right!
Where is the "Take My Park Avenue Apartments, Please!" thread? I will gladly take them!
Live long and prosper.
