houston street is a toilet

In the Soho area of London, they have open air urinals in the middle of the street. I tried to use one once but got stage fright. Peeing in front of a bunch of tourists is more difficult than you may think.

london and nyc are both old, filthy, and grimy. Chicago is new, clean, and modern and hence is more upscale.

Is "rundown" the new "new"?

you can walk around chicago for miles and not see any urinals or garbage bags lying on street corners. that's what a truly upscale city looks like. NYC has no business calling themselves upscale or sophisticated.

To paraphrase Woody Allen: of course you don't see garbage lying around street corners in Chicago . . . they turn it all into food in their "restaurants"

So now toilets in NYC are more expensive than Chicago's best condos.

Downtown Manhattan may be a construction warzone but at least it's not an actual warzone like Chicago.

it's hard to enjoy a city when there's construction going on everywhere. at least you can walk in peace when you're in gold coast, river north, streeterville, lincoln park.

Love rufus' stupidity. Chicago rules because they're constructing all these great new condos, yes they manage to avoid the actual "construction" part. LOL.

Personally, I'm glad NYC has the money to reconstruct streets and build new amenities. Better than being broke and having all your streets breaking down, like in Chicago. Then again, I guess thats better for all the criminals, so they like it.
