i tried punching in some information but came up empty. this may be a rookie question but what kind of info are you supposed to get from here and how can you use it in your home search. any help would be appreciated.

We have recorded sales for the NNJ counties we cover. Send email to support@streeteasy.com if you don't find what you are looking for, or have suggestions.

If you know the address of the property, you can put it in and potentially find out how much the seller paid. This can give you leverage in negotiating as you know what their break even point will be.

thanks. for the home that i am interested in the owners have been in there for over 20 years so i don't know how much leverage that will give me. i guess finding comps is the best route to go. a broker that i am friendly with (but not working with) told me that she has client's putting in offers at 2003 prices.

separate topic: any ideas on how to approach an owner with a home for sale about a rent-to-own situation? i will start another discussion on this topic but it seems the jersey side of streeteasy does not get a lot of action
