Discussion about
http://www.nypost.com/seven/11192008/news/regionalnews/upper_east_side_robber_sought_139522.htm There's a reason why UES residents are getting more scared. Brazen criminal acts, like the one captured in this video, is a sign that even "nice" NYC neighborhoods are not safe from the violent thugs who roam the city. Bloomberg is doing a terrible job as mayor. At least in Chicago, the violent crimes are limited to the ghettos of far south and far west side.

Rufie, have we not established already that the South Bronx is safer than the Mold Coast?

The rufus stupidity never ceases to amaze me. One crime represents "crime rising ".

Somebody get the kid his first dictionary.

But careful of all the gangs on the way to the one bookstore in Chicago.

nyc10022, there were also multiple bank robberies in upper east side this year.

So according to your logic, the UES residents who expressed legitimate concerns about crime, are all paranoid?

upper east side is a mess. Along with rising violent crime, retail is shutting down at an alarming rate. Bar Vespa, which is one of the few upscale wine bars in that area, recently closed. it is due to the construction of the second avenue subway line, along with the effects of the financial crisis.

My Rufusometer hit about 90% seeing the title of the thread. Needs a little calibration, perhaps.

The Trump Jr. article. "Chicago hit a wall two years ago. Chicago should have been the talisman for the rest of the US."

So Cracker Boy has been pleasantly quiet for days, waiting and waiting for something negative to post so he can ejaculate warped conclusions about NY, and the best he can do is a weeks-old piece about a single purse-snatching?

Oh, and the weapon used was the guy's palms used to shove the victim!

As opposed to, say, Bikini Girls with Machine Guns (apologies to The Cramps):

High school teacher shot in Greektown

A teacher at St. Ignatius College Prep was shot Thursday night in a bold attack outside a Greektown bar, authorities said.

The victim was just outside Dugan's pub at 128 S. Halsted at 11:15 p.m. when he and his wife, a doctor, were robbed by two young women, one of whom was carrying a semi-automatic handgun, several police sources said.
