After being told by Patterson she was not getting the nod... Imagine helping Obama get elected, using your family name and family money, and NOT getting the Senate seat handed to you... "you know?"? The NYT is saying it is tied to household taxes... nannygate issues. If you have $50+++ million why can't you pay the requisite taxes on your hired help?

I wonder if we'll ever know what happened there. If it is a nanny problem, it may not be taxes; maybe it's an immigration issue. I was surprised she wanted the Senate seat in the first place because she's always been so private. I think she's got what it takes 'tho I was embarrassed that she hadn't prepared herself before going before the press, you know?
