Usually no. Closet walls are rarely weight bearing walls and the job would be considered a minor alteration unless there is electricity or plumbing involved.

Is it a coop? If so the question would be what sort of hoops will the coop make you jump through before they give you permission.

Also, will you be doing the work yourself? If not then you also have to make sure that your contractor provides you with proper insurance. But again the coop will inform you about all these requirements.
