Fire Island summer rental question

So has anybody booked a summer rental yet on Fire Island? How are the prices this year? Has the softer market in the city affected our beautiful FI? With fewer bankers to book the big places, maybe prices will come down a little? Thanks for any insights.

Where is the best place to look for FI rentals such as seaview/OB/Fair harbor?

falco, I always look on craigs list, but last year my friend and I ended up renting a place she found through a friend of a friend...

Also you can google for it. Try "fire island" in quotes and rental and 2009. Some of the realtors who handle FI will pop up.

Seaview is ok but my favoriate town is Fair Harbor. ;-)

I have a house in Corneille Estates (right next to OB) if you are interested in renting.
