Betsey Johnson heaved all her New York real estate up for sale earlier this year when the fashion designer decided to head west to live in California near her daughter. But now the woman with a penchant for puffy pinks and black and white stripes is getting very eager to divest of her NYC pad: She’s dropped the price again for the Upper East Side one-bedroom at 30 East 85th Street to $1.795 million, which is now lower than her purchase price in 2008.
Johnson paid $1.85M for the condo in 2008 and originally listed it for $2.25 million in May, then cut it to $1.995M in September.
Johnson, a longtime NYC fixture, has this Manhattan apartment on the market and earlier this year, sold her funky Hamptons’ beach home. She now lives in Malibu where she told reporters this week she is happily living the Left Coast life, complete with a new boyfriend.
