Building: 505 Greenwich Street in Soho

This strikingly modern, 14-story condominium apartment building was erected in 2004 and has 102 units. It was designed by Gary Handel & Associates and developed by the Metropolitan Housing Partnership and the Synchron Corporation.

The building has a 24-hour concierge, a fitness center, a pet spa, a bicycle room, storage for each unit, a private courtyard, wine refrigerators, and mahogany flooring. There are 25 three-bedroom units, 42 two-bedroom units and 37 one-bedroom units. Each apartment has a washer and dryer.

Kitchens feature Sub-Zero refrigerators, Bosch dishwashers, Viking stainless steel ranges, custom Tanzanian Anigre wood cabinetry and gray Slate countertops, Italian green glass backsplashes, as well as microwave ovens and wine refrigerators. The master bathrooms are truly spa-inspired—with warm-toned Pietra Bedonia marble floors and surrounds, cherry cabinets, and deep soaking tubs by Kohler, in addition to shower stalls in select homes. Second bathrooms in most apartments have limestyle porcelain tiling and glass accents.

Residents enjoy the convenience of walking South to the Tribeca neighborhood, East to Soho or North to the West Village. Hudson River Park is just behind the building where there are jogging paths, bike paths, benches and lovely green areas with splendid views over the Hudson River. For commuters, it is an easy, short walk to either the #1 subway line on Canal Street or the A,C line at Spring Street.
