This 25 X 70 3 story carriage house was designed and constructed in 1890 for Helen C. Juilliard by Alfred Zucker in the American Round Arch style. It was one of many stables constructed on Downing Street during the 19th century. Louis Barbieri operated the Pioneer Bottling Company through the1950s following renovations in the 1920’s which included the addition of a rear extension and a garage. Since 1961,the house has been used as a two-family residence with R6 zoning status. Approximately 5,094 square feet this house is landmarked and remains an important part of Downing Street history.
