This 23ft wide elevator brownstone is located on one of New York's most beautiful blocks. The house was described by Christopher Grey of the New York Times as one of the "most intact" houses on the block. It was built during the American Renaissance Revival period by the architects Douglas and John Jardine for the developer Edward Kilpatrick. Work on the house began on May 5th, 1883, and it was completed April 2nd, 1884.

When many people think of the Upper East Side, they think of a quiet, tree-lined urban expanse filled with posh residents and purebred dogs.
